Portsmouth, September 5, 2025 – Rohde & Schwarz UK was presented with the Silver Award under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Admiralty House, HMNB Portsmouth.
The prestigious award was presented by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire. Rohde & Schwarz UK is one of 24 organizations from across the South East being recognized for their outstanding commitment to supporting Defence and the wider Armed Forces community.
The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme encourages employers to support Defence and inspire others to do the same. This award acknowledges Rohde & Schwarz UK’s dedication to the Armed Forces Covenant, and demonstrates a tangible commitment to supporting those who serve, reservists, veterans, and their families.

The Silver Award builds upon Rohde & Schwarz UK’s existing Bronze accreditation, demonstrating sustained commitment and the development of robust policies and plans to support Defence personnel. The company has demonstrated support for mobilizations and has a framework in place for supporting reservist employees.
The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) encompasses Bronze, Silver and Gold awards for employer organizations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to Defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
