In modern software development, even with a , if you work in a team, accept commits from contributors, or even merge modules/components from third-party providers, one of the most mind-numbing chores is reviewing the submitted code to track down any potential bugs, unwanted functionality, and to make sure it’s acceptable production quality. Earlier this week I was joined by special guest Amar Goel, Silicon Valley superstar and CEO of and his colleague Anand Das, Bito CTO. They discussed Bito’s excellent AI reviewing tool and how you can get started for free.
Why would someone need an automated AI-powered code review tool?
It’s a good question. With the developers and companies are often finding that they’re able to automatically generate lots more lines of code. We know it’s not for everyone, but for many they are moving towards leveraging the increasing power of large language models (LLM) to make themselves more productive. Also, with a current worldwide especially in development teams, employees who escape the ‘downsizing’ can often find they are expected to pick up the workload of those who were let go. These two factors, among others, can, at least partially, be made easier with automations and AI assistance – to fulfil the dream of “work smarter, not harder“.
Automated AI code generation is great, but it can result in a torrent of work, because, just like handing out work to a junior or intern developer, it’s more important than ever for you to check what has been created and ensure it’s of the required quality, meets your goals, and adheres to the standards you’re expecting. That’s where tools like comes in – an automated first pass, independent of the code generation process; so, you’re using a tool specially built and expert at reviewing to check the output of a tool (or a human) whose specialism is to create code. The two activities are related, but they are quite different too.

Why not and see why we think it’s the fastest, easiest, and most efficient way to create cross platform apps that work on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android from a single code base?
