As developers, we’re no strangers to Easter eggs-those hidden features or messages tucked away in our favorite apps, games, and codebases. But what happens when you take that geeky spirit and sneak it into something totally unexpected, like an adult humor picture book?
When I started writing and illustrating my latest book, I wanted to create something that would make people laugh, blush, and-if they had the right background-think a little deeper. That’s why “Molly’s Juicy Melons” isn’t just a book of double entendres and bold illustrations. Hidden within its pages is a code-cracking riddle, designed for sharp-eyed CS nerds.
Why hide a puzzle in a picture book? Because I believe that the best stories are the ones that invite you to play along. Whether you’re a developer who loves a challenge or just someone who enjoys a good laugh, there’s something extra satisfying about finding the hidden layer beneath the jokes.
The feedback so far? People love the mischief-and the competition. The first reader to crack the code earns eternal bragging rights (and maybe a little prize from me).
